John Gallagher is the current Chair of the Scholarship and Charity Committee for TMAC.  He has served as the Secretary of TMAC and as Chairman of the Policy Committee.  He has been a member since 2002. John became associated with TMAC in 2000 thru his manager, who was then the CFO of Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co., Inc. His goal in joining TMAC was to become better educated on some of the finer points of Treasury Management, as well as to network with and learn from other Treasury professionals. John feels that the education offered by the various monthly educational sessions and at the Windy City Conference are outstanding.   The opportunity for networking at TMAC is great and besides, it's fun.  By serving on the Board he hopes to give something back to a great organization ."

John is the Treasurer of Hu-Friedy, the leading dental instrument manufacturer and distributor of dental instruments and instrument management systems in North America. He has been with Hu-Friedy for 24 years holding a variety of operations and financial positions.

Early in his career there he has served as VP-Administration which included all of the financial, controller and treasury functions. As VP-Operations he managed the Materials and Procurement functions, helped implement the conversion to the first in-house computer system for Hu-Friedy, managed the move to an off-site Distribution Center, and also served as VP- Human Resources. His current role as Treasurer also includes all of the Risk Management for the corporation.
